Inter-County Hurlers:
Hard luck to Limerick for their narrow defeat to Dublin in the All-Ireland Hurling Championship quarter-final.
Junior Hurlers:
Patrickswell were edged out by Doon in a competitive County Junior A League final. The first half was initially dominated by Patrickswell before Doon settled into the match. The East Men held a half-time lead of 1-9 to 1-7. In the second half, Doon kept Patrickswell at arm’s length. Despite a late Patrickswell goal setting up a grandstand finale, Doon won by 1-21 to 2-14.
Golf Classic:
Patrickswell GAA and camogie club will be hosting our Golf classic fundraiser on Friday July 11 at Ballyneety Golf club. The format for the day is the always enjoyable Champagne Scramble. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, and there will be additional competitions including longest drive and closest to the pin. A fantastic raffle will also take place on the day, with an array of generously sponsored prizes up for grabs.
Tee times begin at 9.00am and will run throughout the morning and afternoon. A team of four costs €400, which includes your round of golf followed by a delicious two-course meal in the renowned Vines Restaurant. We are also inviting local businesses and supporters to get involved by sponsoring a tee box or green for just €100. Club Lotto:
The Club Lotto draw on Monday June 16 was not won. The numbers drawn were 7, 10, 18 and 31. The bonus number was 25. The €50 Lucky Dips were won by The Normoyles and Stephen Hunt while the €20 prizes were claimed by Denis Casey, Alison Bennis, Amanda Williams, Paula Costelloe, Gerry Griffin and Imelda Bennis. This week’s jackpot is €20,000.
