County Minor Championship
Fr. Caseys v Monaleen – Wednesday June 25th in Abbeyfeale at 7.30pm.
Limerick Footballers:
Congratulations to the Limerick senior footballers who excelled in Croke Park last Sunday coming from seven points behind to defeat Wicklow 2-18 to 1-17 to book their place in the Tailteann Cup Final. They will now play Kildare in Croke Park on Saturday July 12th and although they will be underdogs they are more than capable of causing an upset. We are very proud of Mark McCarthy who once more gave an excellent display at corner back and Rory O’Brien who came on in attack for the final ten minutes. Diarmuid Buckley and Fiachra Cotter have also been a big part of this panel this year. We wish the team the best of luck in their preparations in the coming weeks.
Club Championship:
The opening round of the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Football Championships in Limerick have now been deferred until the weekend of July 20th following the great progress made by the Limerick Senior Footballers in the Tailteann Cup. When the county championship does resume Fr. Caseys will open their account with a repeat of last year’s county final and a showdown with Adare. At Junior A level Fr. Caseys will face a local derby when they take on Mountcollins
Club Lotto Results:
Fr. Casey’s Club Lotto continued on Tuesday June 17th with a Jackpot of €28,800 up for grabs. The numbers drawn were 1, 8, 14 with the bonus ball 2. There was no Jackpot winner but we did have six match three winners as well as our regular lucky dip prizes. The draw continues next Tuesday with the Jackpot rising to €29,000.
