Hurling & Camogie Festival:
On Saturday, we proudly hosted our annual Festival of Hurling, a celebration of sport & community. We were delighted to welcome teams from Newport, Clonlara, and Shandrum, who joined our own players across the U8, U10, and U12 age groups. The pitches were alive with the sound of hurleys clashing and cheers from the sidelines throughout the day, keeping a large crowd thoroughly entertained. Beyond the games, the day had a true festival atmosphere – live music, a bustling shop, home baking, cups of tea, and plenty of goodies added to the fun. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the day – whether through organizing, volunteering, supporting, or simply showing up to cheer.

Parish League:
On Saturday evening, the spotlight shifted to one of the most anticipated events of the year – our Parish Leagues. Teams representing Ballinlee, ArdyKeohane, Bruff Town, Camas, Crean, Grange, and Holycross took to the field in what proved to be a fantastic evening of sport. The format was simple but brilliant: 7-a-side games with one special twist – each team had to field at least one player over 40 at all times. The result? A beautiful blend of youth, experience, and pure determination. From the first whistle, the crowd was treated to a feast of hurling action – goals, points, near misses, shots ricocheting off the crossbar, and even the tension of penalty shootouts. Every match was fiercely contested, driven by community pride and sheer love of the game. The final showdown saw Grange and Camas go head-to-head in an epic battle. It was tit for tat from start to finish, with barely a puck of a ball separating them. In the end, Camas claimed victory by the slimmest of margins, capping off a memorable evening. A huge thanks to all players, supporters, and volunteers who made it happen – the Parish Leagues reminded us all of what makes our community and our sport so special

U11 Community Games:
Our U11 community games hurling team came up short to a strong Ballybrown team. Hard luck to the boys who put in a great effort and thanks a million to the coaches involved. Many thanks to Glynn’s for arranging the after-game refreshments.
