Lynkeo Civil Engineering LTD West Junior A Football Competition Semi-final
Tuesday June 10th 2025. Venue -St. Kierans GAA, Ardagh at 7:30pm
Athea v St. Kierans
This tie is against St. Kierans second team who got a walkover from Castlemahon last Friday. We beat Mountcollins in the quarter final a few weeks back and will have learned from it. There was a good Athea crowd in Tournafulla and the same again will help the lads on Tuesday (10th).
Woodlands House Hotel County Premier Junior A Football Championship- Group 1-Round 1
Venue: Cappagh. Date/time: Saturday June 21st 2025 at 7pm.
Athea v Mungret/St. Pauls.
Put this date in the diary. This is our first game in this year’s County Championship and let’s hope we can repeat last year by securing the win.
County Fixtures:
Tailtean Cup -Quarter Final
Venue: Gaelic Grounds. Date/time: Sunday June 15th 2025 at 3:45pm
Limerick v Wexford
A repeat of the division 4 League final earlier in the year where Limerick came out on top. This will be a test of how much both teams have improved since then. The home advantage will help Limerick but they will have to be at their best to advance to the next round. It isn’t often that football is played in the Gaelic Grounds so football fans out there should try to make this one.
County Result:
Munster Senior Hurling Final
Venue: Gaelic Grounds. Date/time: Saturday June 7th 2025 at 6pm
Limerick 2-27 Cork 1-30 AET.
Cork won on Penalties 3:2
This was a game where Limerick found it very difficult to take the lead and stay in the lead. Too many wides and a comparatively low amount of frees awarded didn’t help their cause either. Alas No 7-in-a-row but they are still in the championship. Don’t write them off as they are likely to win their quarter final match in two weeks time and get to Croke Park for a Semi-final appearance. Penalties are no way to decide a Munster final.
