In a thrilling encounter full of heart and determination, the JB Hurlers emerged victorious in the East Junior B League final, overcoming Murroe-Boher on a scoreline of 1-18 to 1-13 in Fedamore. With just a quarter of the game remaining, few would have predicted the outcome. Murroe-Boher looked set to claim the title, holding a commanding six-point lead and dictating the tempo of the match. However, what followed was a remarkable turnaround. Digging deep and refusing to let the game slip away, the JB Hurlers mounted a spirited comeback, driven by sheer will and belief. The turning point came with a sensational goal from Robert O’Donnell, who found the net at a crucial moment to breathe life into his side’s challenge. That spark ignited a surge of momentum, as the team rallied with renewed energy and purpose. Point by point, they chipped away at the deficit, showing composure in front of goal and steel in defence. As Murroe-Boher struggled to respond, the tide had well and truly turned. The final whistle blew to confirm a deserved win: Pallas 1-18, Murroe-Boher 1-13. This victory was a testament to character, unity, and never-say-die spirit and a richly earned piece of silverware. Following their exciting win in the East final, they have now reached the county final after a fine win over Feohanagh/Castlemahon 3-10 to 0-11 in Kilmallock. At time of writing no fixture of final have to come to hand.

Pallasgreen GAA Club is delighted to announce its Fourth Annual Golf Classic, which will take place on Friday, June 13th at the beautiful Ballykisteen Golf Club. This popular fundraising event promises to be another fantastic day for golf enthusiasts and supporters of the club. Participants will compete in a team-of-four, champagne scramble format, with entry costing €200 per team. The fee includes not only a great round of golf but also a meal and BBQ at Powers Bar, Old Pallas, ensuring an enjoyable social evening to follow the day’s play. There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs, including fourball rounds at some of Ireland’s top golf courses, making this an event not to be missed.

All proceeds from the Golf Classic will go directly toward the exciting redevelopment and refurbishment of the club’s grounds, an important initiative for the future of sport and community in Pallasgreen.
