West Intermediate Football League Group 2 Round 3

Dromcollogher/Broadford 3-09 Gerald Griffins 2-12

This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/Broadford leading by 2-5 to 0-5 at the break with our goals coming from Micheál Fahy and Garrett Noonan and then in the second half St. Senan’s outscored us by 2-7 to 1-4 with our game coming from Garrett Noonan, to leave sides on level terms at end of the game.

Paul Madigan of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the first point of the game and then Gerald Griffins replied with a point to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game.  Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next point to give us back the lead and then Gerald Griffins scored their second point of the game to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two goal of the game with the coming from Micheál Fahy in the 18th minute and Garrett Noonan in the 19th minute to lead by two goals and then St. Senan’s scored the next two points to leave four points the sides. Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points coming from Kevin Noonan and Micheál Fahy to leave two goals between the sides and then Gerald Griffins scored the point of the game to leave five points between the sides. Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point just before the break to leave two goals between the sides at end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-5 to Gerald Griffins 0-5.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the second half coming from Garrett Noonan and Micheál Fahy to leave eight points between the sides and then Garrett Noonan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the third goal from in the 36 minute to leave 11 points between the sides.  Gerald Griffins scored the next 2-6 without reply to lead by a point with 51 minutes gone in the game and Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points coming from Garrett Noonan and Paul Madigan to lead by a point.  Gerald Griffins scored the last point of the game to bring sides back on level terms for the fifth time during the game. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/Broadford 3-9 to St.Senan’s 2-12.

To Limerick Minor Footballers Management team led by Michael Lenihan and especially our club players Jack Noonan and Ryan Sheehan (0-4, 1x two pointer) against Tipperary, Limerick defeated Tipperary on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-12, in the Electric Ireland Munster Minor Football Championship Phase 1 Round 2.
