East Board AGM took place last Monday week 25th November in Millennium centre Caherconlish in our 80th year, and was very attended by all the East Clubs and County Board officials.
Maria Owens Secretary went through a comprehensive review of the year from the Divisional leagues , Jack Ryan Memorial tournament , Brian Butler cup to the East Junior B Hurling and Football championships.
Treasurer Paddy O’Sullivan proivided a detailed review of the year Board accounts.
Chairperson Ger Lonergan’s address congratulated all the winners in the Division and to Doon and Ahane in their Hurling and Football county championships victories and thanked all his fellow officers for their support during 2024.
Declan Long gave a review of the East U14s Divisonal academy.
Before the Election of officers for 2025 Paddy O’Sullivan and Kevin Power noted they were not going forward for nomination.
Paddy has almost 30 years with the Board and started with the Board na N’Og before moving to the East Board and has held all positions on the board. The East Board thanks Paddy for all his work over the past years and wish him all the best in his retirement.
Kevin has been with the board for over 6 years and the Board thanks Kevin for his work over the 6 years.
The East board made a presentation to Paddy for his years of service to the board.
Sinead Burns has joined the East board as assistant Secretary and we extend a warm welcome to Sinead.

On the evening we had a number of guest speaker, Eddie Wade , Seamus Mcnamara , Frank Reidy , Denis Carroll , Pat Donnelly , Pat Davoren, Ger Cokery , Mary Hassett , Eamonn Phelan and Ger O’ Connell.
As this is our 80th year being founded in May 27th 1944, a special commemorative poster featuring the 13 East Board clubs crest has been framed. It was unveiled in the Millennium centre by East Board President Eddie Wade and County Board Chairperson Seamus McNamara.
Danny Beary of Knockane has a fantastic GAA museum with history of Limerick GAA and East clubs, Danny kindly gave the East board AGM booklets from 1947 to the present day , Scor, pictures and East club history books, all of these are posted on the East board social media pages. At the AGM East board presented Danny with a comemorative framed poster of the 13 club crest in the East.
The Board also presented commemorative scrolls to all Club Chairs on the night.
