Fr Caseys GAA Club Notes:

Upcoming Fixtures:
Senior County Semi-Final
Fr. Caseys v Mungret – Sunday October 20th in Newcastle West at 3.30pm

County Semi-Final:
Fr. Caseys Senior Footballers are just sixty minutes away from their first County Senior Final since 2009 with Mungret standing in their way next Sunday in Newcastle West. After narrowly losing the opening round of the championship to county champions Newcastle West, the Abbeyfeale men have produced a flawless campaign. Including their quarter final victory over Galtee Gaels they have managed to win games with an average of ten points to spare, not only hitting high numbers on the scoreboard but also having a mean defence that hasn’t conceded more than ten points per game. Managed by Eoin Joy with Shane Kelly as coach, this team will be more than aware that as we enter the business end of the year the hard battles are just about to begin. Mungret in their first year returned to Senior surprised many by topping a group which also included Adare. Having captured five adult titles last season this is a club on an upwards curve and are they are more than capable of causing another upset on Sunday. Captained by Daniel Daly the Fr. Caseys Seniors will enter the game as slight favourites but after many years of heartache in the knockout stages the team will be well reminded that talk is cheap and next Sunday must be the day to deliver. We wish everyone involved the very best of luck and hope a large crowd from Abbeyfeale will make the short trip to cheer on the team. Throw in time is 3.30pm with patriots advised to arrive early as a large crowd is expected. Tickets can be purchased in advance online from the Limerick GAA website for a discounted price or pay on the gate €15 for Adult, €10 for OAPs & Students with U16s free
