Local Young Stars in Fundraiser for India Schools Project:
Malachy McKenna of Lough is fundraising as part of his schools India Immersion Programme where he and a group of 12 students will work in Kolkata in orphanages, schools and with the homeless next October. All funds raised will be donated to the organisations in India. Malachy will speak at Mass this weekend to explain this initiative. Masters Football:
Well done to the Limerick Masters football team and especially to or local lads John O’Connell, Eddie Mulcahy, Trevor Cosgrave, Denis O’Connor and Darren Kavanagh who had a fine win over Waterford 3-14 to 2-12 in a sun drenched day in Oola last Saturday afternoon.
Limerick Camogie:
Hard luck to Cliodhna Ryan and her Limerick team who went down to Derry in the All Ireland championship 0-19 to 0-13 in Owenbeg in Derry.
Primary Go Games:
Congratulations to Nicole O’Sullivan who played in the Primary School games at the Munster Hurling Final last Sunday in Thurles at half time during the Munster Senior hurling final. Hope she had a memorable day.
