Knockaderry GAA Club Notes:

Munster Junior B Football Final:
A great crowd travelled to Castletown Ballyagran GAA Field yesterday for the Munster Junior B Football Final. The Football Tournament was coordinated by Knockaderry GAA and hosted by Castletown Ballyagran GAA due to the refurbishment of the facilities in Knockaderry.
Huge congratulations to Shannon Rovers of Tipperary who made history yesterday being the first Tipp team to reach the final and also the first Tipp team to win the Munster JB football championship in what was a thrilling game that went all the way to the last kick of the ball. The final score was 1.6 to 1.8.
Hard luck to Oliver Plunketts, who suffered a second final heartbreak, losing the 2007 final to Cromane, also in a very tight game.
A special thanks to all volunteers who helped today and each Sunday over the last 5 weeks. It was very much appreciated. There was outstanding work done by Noel and Sean in coordinating and organising everything each day.
Thanks also to Castletown Ballygran, whose facilities were spot on each day. So concludes our tournament for 2023!!!
Man of the match was sponsored by Mark Foley’s bar and presented to Shannon Rovers number 10 Marcus Esmonde.
Thanks everyone, roll on the 2024 competition!
