Thinking of a holiday? Somewhere exotic or just a good old fashioned relaxing week in the sun? Well if you are then Knockaderry GAA & Camogie club have the draw for you! This autumn one lucky person will win themselves a holiday voucher to the value of €10,000!!!! Have you ever dreamed of taking the family to Disneyland, of visiting the sites across ancient Europe, of travelling along the trails in South America and into the Amazon or maybe just simply catch up with family and friends in Australia or New Zealand, well the WIN A DREAM HOLIDAY draw voucher, which can be used as many times as you wish, can make all that happen! All proceeds from the draw will go towards the new playing facilities development work at Knockaderry GAA grounds. Chairperson of the clubs development committee, Ted Danaher, outlined what exactly the club is proposing to do “We plan to erect a 40 x 45metre hurling wall, fully floodlit and fenced with an all weather playing surface at the entrance to our grounds while also developing a public access walkway that stretches over 1km on our pitches perimeter. It means we have to move our current playing pitch upwards about 30 yards so that we will have ample space, this is just phase one, we have other development plans down the road’.

Bord na nOg Awards Night
The GAA and Camogie club had a wonderful night of celebration on Friday 18th Nov in the Halla Mor with special guests Caoimhe Costello and Aaron Gillane. After a busy on the field 2022 the evening was all about relaxing and celebrating the achievements of the boys and girls who represented the club this year. Thanks to all of our coaches who put in trojan work each week, promoting the game and developing players for the future. Our u5s, u6s, u7s, u9s and u11s all received a well deserved medal of achievement while the u13s and the u15s received a sliotar to aid their practice over the weeks and months ahead.
The club made two special presentations to Cillian McMahon, u15 county football player and David Moloney, u15 county hurling player, who achieved great things during the year with their respective teams in intercounty competitions. We congratulate both players and wish them well in the coming year as they both step up to u16 level. Well done Cillian and David, you are doing a super job representing the club and we are very proud of you and your efforts.

As part of our fundraisers for field development – there will be a table quiz in the Halla Beag on Friday 2nd December at 9pm. All welcome, Teams of 4 -€10 per person.
