On Friday in Dromcollogher, our Junior B hurlers battled manfully against a strong Feohanagh/Castlemahon side with a late comeback falling short. Dromcollogher/Broadford hung in against several attacks in the first half going in only 4 points down at half time at 2-7 to 1-6. Kevin Quaid was unlucky not to keep out our opponent’s goal while Thomas Fitzgerald’s frees along with a Darragh Stack goal as he finished off a long Crossfield delivery kept us afloat. Feohanagh/Castlemahon dominated the start of the second half adding a further two goals to push well clear. The input of the substitute bench helped Dromcollogher/Broadford stage a comeback with a super goal from Brian Stack and two points from Dan Curtin adding life to the team. Dromcollogher/Broadford pushed hard to land some further scores and by full time had worked the deficit back to six points in a promising display.

It‘s all about Kids!!
On Wednesday last members Dromcollogher/ Broadford Coiste Nóg presented students in Scoil Mhuire Broaford and Dromcollogher National School with training gear. The schools received a mixture of hurleys, footballs, sliotars, bibs, cones. The more our children play football and puck around the better their skills will develop. Jack Pierce is in both schools weekly, and we are blessed as both our primary schools have teachers who love GAA and have played at both and county level, these influences will help all our children develop their GAA skills!!!
