On this date Sunday 9th. February 2020, Limerick Senior Footballers continued their Allianz League campaign, when they travelled to Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow to play the home side in Round Three of Division 4 Allianz Football League. It was a game played in very stormy weather conditions, the home side took a 0.04 to 0.00 lead but late in the opening half Limerick got into the game by the elements and the half time break the had equalised with four well taken points. The game was nip and tuck in the second half once again it was the home side that enjoyed a three point lead going into injury time, Iain Corbett sent a high ball goal wards and Robbie Childs finished to the net to have the sides level. Carlow had a late chance to regain the lead, the effort went wide, from the resulting kick out, Limerick won possession and worked ball to the Carlow goal area when Danny Neville won possession and was pulled down, the Referee awarded a penalty which Iain Corbett pointed to give Limerick a one point win 1.07 to 0.09 and a third win in the League to go top of the table.
