Intermediate Footballers Lose out to Claughaun
Our Intermediate Footballers were back in action last Sunday evening, when they played Claughaun in Adare, after their good win over Bruff on the previous week. Unfortunately it wasn’t our night on Sunday and Rathkeale never recovered after conceding an early goal to leave us trailing on a scoreline of 1-05 to 0-05 at the half time interval. Claughaun drove on in the second half and ended up deserving winners, with the scoreline reading 1-12 to 0-11. Rathkeale will now play Gerald Griffins in the Quarter Finals, the game is currently scheduled for September 20th with a throw in time in Askeaton of 2.00pm.
Minor Footballers
Well done to our Minor Footballers who defeated Ballybricken last Friday evening. This was a comprehensive victory with Rathkeale dominant from the offset. Final score on the night read Rathkeale 1-17, Ballybricken 3-04. Well done to all involved.
U14 Hurlers Advance
Well done to the U14 hurlers of Croagh Kilfinny Rathkeale, who beat Askeaton Ballysteen in their county semi final this morning. In a very entertaining game, Croagh Kilfinny Rathkeale ran out worthy winners with the final score reading 6-10 to 4-10. Croagh Kilfinny Rathkeale will now play the winner of Newcastlewest V Hospital in the Final. Well done to all
Junior A Hurling Championship Resumes
After 3 defeats from the opening 3 rounds against Templeglantine, Feenagh & Ballybricken/Bohermore, it is fair to say we are under pressure in this championship. Having said that, the very best of luck to the players and management who play Monaleen this weekend. Full details listed below of the fixture.
