St. Patrick’s GAA Club Notes

Limerick 3 32 Cork 2 31:
The Summer of ’18 will long be remembered for the glorious sunshine but also the greatest hurling championship there ever was.

Limerick have reached the All Ireland final and as Limerick people we could not be prouder of the team,as St Patrick’s people we could not be prouder of Gearoid Hegarty. A Leader, an inspiration and a man that stands up when most needed. In Croke Park on Sunday Gearoid and his Limerick team brought joy to so many.
What a brilliant team, What a brilliant win.
Luimneach Abu.

Minor Hurling:
A great win for the minor hurling team defeating Coshlea Gaels 3 10 to 1 9 in Kilbreedy.

The U14 Hurlers finished with defeat to Knockainey but with a very young team most will be in action with the start of U13 hurling next week.Well done to all.
Coshlea Gaels 1 09 Southside Gaels 3 10

U16 Football Championship Division 1:
A big win on Monday for the U16s away in Askeaton (9 13 to 1 5),sets the team up nicely for a top of the table clash, against Mungret in a key game for the battle for a county semi final spot.
Monday July 30th away v Mungret at 7.15pm

Groody Gaels League Semi Final:
All roads lead to Askeaton on Monday July 30th at 7.45pm for the division 3 league semi final between Groody Gaels and Gerald Griffins. Both teams contested last year’s junior final in what was a very skilful game of football. It should be another very close and exciting encounter on Monday night and if you have an hour to spare the girls would appreciate your support.
