Bord na nÓg – We need your help!

Rathkeale Bord na nÓg would like to invite all adults (especially parents), to help out with coaching or organizational work with our underage children in hurling and football. We’re open to everyone, no matter how little knowledge or experience you think you may have, we would be delighted to have you onboard.

There are beginners coaching courses available on a regular basis, but all that’s required to start with is to complete the Garda Vetting process which can be done online and also to complete a short child protection course.

We are particularly hard pressed this year, with only a handful of people filling all the positions, with all of these people doubling up on roles. We’re hoping to have U6’s up to minors in both codes, and this takes a significant number of adults to make it worthwhile, especially for the youngest groups.

It’s quite conceivable that we might not be able to field some teams because of the lack of adult supervision this season, so if anyone has an inkling that they could do some administration work, or spend an hour twice a week with the children, we would welcome you with open arms.

Please contact any committee member of Rathkeale GAA, Bord na nÓg or contact Brian Dwyer on 087 2501589. We would love to see you involved.

Club Membership 2019

Club membership for the 2019 season is now due. Rates for the upcoming season are as follows: Adult €50, Under-18 €20 and a family rate of €70. The rate for non-playing adult members will remain at €30. This represents good value in comparison to membership costs in other clubs across the county. All players must pay their membership prior to taking part in any games or training. This will be strictly enforced this year so make sure you contact Philip O’Donnell, who is the club registrar again for 2019, before training commences. We are taking this matter very serious this year and you simply won’t play if you haven’t paid, players are also going to ensure that their fellow players have paid so no excuses.
