U10s:

Last Wednesday 30th May – Killeedy U10s played Knockaderry in a challenge Match. For anyone that didn’t get to see the match, there were moments of skill reserved normally for senior games. Particularly in the art of Blocking and Hooking. Well done guys.

U12s:

Training continues each Tuesday evening in Raheenagh at 7pm and a second weekly training session om Saturday mornings in Tournafulla

Last Tuesday our U12s played Monagea in the Round 4 of the U12 League. Played in Raheenagh, both teams displayed skill and accuracy in front of the new stand. Killeedy/Tour pulled away in the latter stages of first half. The second half continued with Killeedy/Tour growing on that momentum. Well done guys, great match to watch.

U14s:

Killeedy/Tournafulla played Knockaderry/Monagea in first round of championship. After putting up a strong challenge we went down to a very strong Knockaderry/Monagea team. Our next championship game will be against Ahane with date to be confirmed

This process of becoming a Healthy Club Project is an opportunity for people in the community, not just GAA people to get involved who may have expertise is an area of health and wellbeing.

Over the next 18 months we will be targeting 2 areas of priority and hope to achieve our goals and get a stamp of approval. In doing so our community will get recognition and a better opportunity to get grants/ funding.

This will benefit everyone in the Community.

We all know the issues, problems and pressures facing the young people in todays world but there are also scope in the process of Healthy Club Project to be more inclusive of all the people of all ages in our community, such as Older Adults and parents of school going children.
