Galbally GAA Club Notes

The Galbally GAA Split the Pot fundraiser continued at the weekend, taking place at Joe’s bar otherwise known as the Abbey Bar. Tommy Hennessy was the lucky winner of €398 and best wishes to him as our second winner. The winning ticket was drawn by Anne O’Sullivan who had won the previous week. The buckets are in a number of locations locally, Frasers Bar, O’Connell’s Bar, The Abbey Bar, Catherine O’Neill’s Shop, Mike Cummins Shop, Willie Barry Butchers, The Foxes Den in Knockcarron, Galbally Chipper, Kathleen Frazer-Mulvey’s Coffey Shop and Tracy Henebry Hair Salon. We thank everyone for their support of this concept, and we are only too delighted to be in a position to provide winners every week. The next weekly draw takes place in Fraser’s Bar Galbally at 10pm on this coming Saturday 29th December.

Galbally GAA would like to thank Glenbrohane Community for the invite to attend the recent nocturnal hill walk and the reception for the silverware won in 2018. It was greatly appreciated and a wonderful gesture.

Galbally GAA would like to extend our sympathies to the extended Henebry Family on the death of Jack Henebry who videoed many GAA games alongside Tommy Rea over the years especially at underage level. May he RIP.

Finally, we wish a Happy Christmas to everyone who contributed to the club in any way in 2018 and wish you all a prosperous 2019.
