BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES

BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES

After an absence of several years Blackrock GAA U21 hurlers took to the field on Sunday 10th V Killaculla Gaels in the South Championship and emerged victorious in very wintery conditions on a score line of 1 14 to 2 10.

After an entertaining first half Blackrock were 0 9 to 0 8 behind at half time. We started the second half brightly and got on top very quickly. With 15 minutes to go, Blackrock led by 2 points. A long high ball into the square was pulled on spectacularly by Callan Ensor, for the first goal of the match.

Two further points looked to have secured the win but two late goals for Killaculla Gaels made for a tight finish but Blackrock held on for the win. Blackrock now advance to the U21 A semi-final.
