Ballybrown GAA Club Notes
Liam McCarthy visit – Where to begin….. what a fantastic evening in the Club with the Liam McCarthy cup🏆 We hope that everyone got the photos and autographs they wanted. Many many thanks to the players from the All Ireland winning team who took the time to come- Cian Lynch, Diarmuid Byrnes, Richie McCarthy, Dan Morrissey, Sean Finn, Andrew Le Touché Cosgrave, Lorcan Lyons & Mark Melbourne (physio)-they are so giving with their time. Thank you to all the other players who took calls from us and got pestered in group chats – we appreciate that they are very busy with other commitments. Thanks to Colum McGrath as usual a fantastic MC. To Brendan Guerin who is always happy to belt out a few tunes for us. To all of the committee and coaches who once again although a small group gave everything to make sure it ran smoothly and safely. Thanks to Siobhan Scanlon from county board and her driver who were patiently waiting for all the photos to be taken and then whizz it to the Late Late Show. We also got to take it to a few people who wouldn’t be able to make it up including Thorpes Nursing Home – it was a pleasure to see their delight. It took 45 years to get it back and we sure were going to make the most of it.
MANY THANKS to Sean Finn came to give the U10 team a training session before Liam McCarthy arrived last Friday Night – what a huge benefit for those lads to get his time and advise. Many thanks to Michael McCormack for organising it.
