Senior Hurling.

Our Senior hurlers clashed with our neighbours Monaleen in the County Senior Hurling Championship last Saturday night in Claughan. Played before a fine crowd the game was a closely fought affair with Monaleen heading in at the break two points to the good.

The second half started in similar fashion but the turning point in the game came when Brian Ryan was most unlucky with a great effort just before the decisive Monaleen goal. The final score was: Monaleen 1:17, South Liberties 0:14.

Our Seniors are back in action next Sunday, September 9th, in Cappamore when we play Ahane in the County Senior Hurling Championship. This is a must win game at this stage so all support is welcome as the lads attempt to qualify for a County Quarter Final. Throw in for this vital game is 2pm.

Family Fun Day

The annual South Liberties Family Fun Day will take place this Saturday in Dooley Park between 2pm and 6pm. All sorts of novelty events from face painting to races, from BBQ to hurling games will take place in what will be a wonderful day for all. Everybody is welcome to come along in what is a fantastic family day for everybody in the Parish.
