Monaleen GAA Club Notes.

MEDAL PRESENTATION: Well done to the Monaleen contingent who were involved in Limerick’s All-Ireland senior hurling championship final success last August who were presented with their medals at a gala function at Adare Manor on Sunday evening. Andrew la Touche Cosgrave and Lorcan Lyons are both members of the Limerick senior hurling squad, while Paul Kinnerk is coach to the Limerick side and Brian Geary is also a member of the backroom team.

U21 FOOTBALL: Commiserations to Monaleen U-21 footballers who lost out to Newcastle West on Sunday last in the Limerick Premier U-21 football final in Rathkeale’s Mick Neville Park. Newcastle West led 0-4 to 0-3 at half-time. The game remained score for score throughout the second half. However, at full-time, Monaleen had been beaten by a single point, 0-9 to 0-8. Hard luck to the players and management team who can look back on their campaign with a great deal of pride.
