U-21 HURLING: Best of luck to Monaleen’s Jamie Power and Mark O’Dwyer who are members of the Limerick U-21 hurling squad which faces Tipperary in the Munster semi-final at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Thursday evening, 7.30pm. Liam Reale, who is coach with the Monaleen senior hurling team is a selector with the Limerick U-21 side. Limerick defeated Clare in the previous round when Mark O’Dwyer scored 1-1 after being introduced as a substitute.

LIMERICK HURLERS: Commiserations to the Monaleen contingent involved in the Limerick senior hurling team which lost out to Clare in their final outing in the round robin format in the new-look Munster championship in Ennis on Sunday last. Andrew la Touche Cosgrave and Lorcan Lyons are both members of the Limerick senior hurling squad, while Brian Geary is part of the management team with the Limerick side and Paul Kinnerk is coach. Despite Sunday’s setback, Limerick remain very much in the hunt for Liam McCarthy honours.
