Hospital Herbertstown GAA Club Notes

MFC: The Minor footballers of Knockainey, who have several Hospital Herbertstown represented on the panel, played Shannon Gaels in Kilbreedy on Friday evening in the semi-final of the County Minor B Championship. However, they were narrowly beaten by a point, which brings to an end their journey in this year’s championship

Schools GAA; Well done to Herbertstown NS who won the South schools 7-a-side competition last Monday. They beat Knockainey and Knocklong and overcame Kilbeheny in the final. Holly O’Shea was captain and was presented with the Johnny Sexton perpetual shield on behalf of her delighted teammates.

U-6/8: U-6/8 training continues this week, on Tuesday evening in the GAA pitch at 6.30pm. Massive well done to our U6’s who played both Glenroe GAA and Emly GAA on Saturday. We had 16 players on show and we played both hurling and football and competed very well on the day. Well done to players and coaches and thanks to both clubs for coming on Saturday morning. The future is bright!

U-10: U-10 training: Tuesday evening 6.30pm in the GAA pitch, Friday evening 6.30pm in the GAA pitch. Our U10’s played South Liberties on Firday evening winning their games well. On Sunday, they travelled to Monaleen playing hurling games there. They again played very well. Well done to all players and coaches.

U-12:. U12 training Monday at 6.30pm. Well done to our U12s who played Ballybricken on Thursday last in the GAA field. In a tight game, our lads played well and came away with a deserved draw. They play Pallasgreen next week.
