BOYCE’S GOALS PUTS US BACK INTO THE COUNTY FINAL!!!

County Junior B Football Championship Semi-Final

Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-10

This was a very tight game played down in Bruff, on Sunday last, with our goals coming from John O’Kelly and Bob Boyce, in the end of the first half we lead by 1-6 to 1-4 with our goal coming from John O’Kelly and then in the second half we scored 1-4 to 0-2 with our goal coming from Bob Boyce, this result puts us into the final against the winners of Granagh/ Ballinagarry and Mungret, on this coming Saturday November 3rd, at 2.30pm, venue and referee to be announced.

Micheál Reidy scored the first point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Na Pairsaigh scored the next 1-3 of the game to lead by five points with eight minutes gone in the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next the 1-3 to give us a lead of a point with 1-1 coming John O’Kelly and the other points coming from Micheál Reidy and Patrick Donnelly and then Na Pairsaigh scored point to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last two points of the half coming from Micheál Reidy and Timmy Stokes to give us a lead of 2 points at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-6 to Na Pairsaigh 1-4.

Na Pairsaigh scored the first two points of the half and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last 1-4 of the game with the goal coming from Bob Boyce which was a great goal and with three of these points coming from John O’Kelly and the other point came from Naill O’Brien to give us a lead of seven points at end of the game to put back into the county final for the first time since 2016 against the winners of Granagh/ Ballingarry and Mungret. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-10 to Na Pairsaigh 1-06.

This was a very tight game with our three goals coming from Jack Pierce, Damien Burke and Brian Stack in the first half St. Senan’s lead by 2-3 to 2-06 with our goals coming form Jack Pierce and Damien Burke and then in the second half we scored 1-3 to St. Senan’s scored 0-5, with our goal coming from Brian Stack. The table after two rounds reads Athea/ Mountcollins and St. Senan’s both level on two points and Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Granagh/ Ballingarry/ Banogue on no points, with our last game in the group stages is against Granagh/ Ballingarry/ Banogue, on this coming Wednesday November 7th, in Mick Neville Park (Rathkeale), at 8pm, referee to be announced.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first of the game with the goal coming from Jack Pierce and with of these points coming from Damien Burke both coming from frees and the other point came from Ronan Cahill and then St. Senan’s replied with a goal with 8 minutes to leave two points between the sides. Jack Pierce scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Senan’s scored the next 1-5 to leave six points with 27 minutes gone in the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last goal of the game of the half to leave three points between at end of the half. To leave the score at half-time St. Senan’s 2-6 to 2-3.

St. Senan’s scored the first point of the second half to lead four points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with 1-2, with the goal coming from Brian Stack and the points came from Damien Burke and James Molyneaux to give us a lead of a point with 53 minutes gone in the game. St. Senan’s score the next point of the game to bring sides back on level terms of the second time during the game and then Séan Brosnan scored the next point of the game to give us a lead of a point. St. Senan’s scored the last three points of the game to give St. Senan’s to leave two points between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time St. Senan’s 2-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-06.
