Ballinacurra Gaels GAA Club Notes
Development Draw Winner
Last Thursday evening we were delighted to welcome Tim Ryan, Liam Bourke and Siobhán Scanlon of Limerick GAA Development Draw to present a cheque of €12,000 to Margaret Coleman in Fennessy’s Bar. Congratulations to Margaret and Sinéad O’Connor who accepted the cheque on Margaret’s behalf. Also, well done to Jack Ryan of Doon who won second prize.
Our Junior footballers played at home last Thursday night against Abbey Sarsfield. Well done to Abbey Sarsfield on a great win and thank you to the players and team management for a very entertaining game.
Our U-8 hurlers were in action at a regional blitz last Friday in Old Christians. They played against South Liberties and two teams from Ballybrown and remained unbeaten. Well done to the team and mentors.
Training for U-6s, U-8s and U-10s continues every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm at our grounds in Ballinacurra Gardens. New players always welcome – just drop in!
Ballinacurra Gaels hosted a very successful Kelloggs GAA Cúl camp last week. Our underage players had a very enjoyable week working hard on improving their skills in hurling and football. Thanks very much to the club mentors, parents and all who participated in the weeks activities. A special thank you to Aisling Herbert, Colm Carroll, Adam O’Regan and camp leader Thomas Houlihan. On Thursday Limerick senior hurler Cian Lynch was a very welcome visitor. Cian had a word of encouragement and signed autographs for every player present. Thanks Cian and best wishes for the rest of the hurling season.
