July 8 – County minor ‘A’ football championship round 1 v Galtee Gaels in Anglesboro at 7.30pm
July 11 – County senior football championship round 1 v Oola in Kilmallock at 7.30pm
Sunday July 12 – County Junior ‘A’ football championship round 1 v Mountcollins in Abbeyfeale at 12pm.

County Football Championships 2026:
The senior and Junior footballers begin their County championship campaigns this weekend as they take on Oola and Mountcollins respectively in their opening games. Both sides advanced to the knockout stages last season with the seniors advancing to the quarter finals before losing out to Fr. Casey’s while to the juniors suffered an agonising extra time defeat to Adare in the County Semi-final. Both sides have been drawn in very competitive groups and will have to perform extremely well once again if we are to field aspirations of advancing to the business end of either championship. The seniors have been drawn in group 1 alongside Saturday’s opponents Oola, Newcastlewest, Galtee Gaels, Fr. Casey’s and Monaleen while the juniors are in group 2 with Mountcollins, Castletown / Ballyagran, Monaleen, St. Patrick’s and Knockainey. We will have live score updates on our social media accounts of both games this weekend,

County Minor ‘B’ Hurling Championship Round 1:
St. Kierans 3.9 Dromcollogher/Broadford 0.12
A strong second half performance that saw the side recover from a four point half time deficit ensured that the minor hurlers got their county championship campaign off to a winning start last Wednesday evening against an impressive Dromcollogher/Broadford side. We welcome Pallasgreen to Ardagh next Wednesday evening in round 2. Pallasgreen will undoubtedly provide a stern test having comprehensively seen off the challenge of Newcastlewest in round 1.
