NEW AGE GROUPS FOR SEASON 2021
Limerick GAA have confirmed that they will play underage hurling and football competitions at uneven ages in 2021 in line with national policy. The new policy came into effect from this January 2021. All teams will now move to the uneven numbers (U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 & U17, etc). In Limerick, the U7, U9 and U11 age grades will come under the remit of Coaching & Games. The U13, U15 and U17 age grades will be planned by County Bord na nÓg. Feile now reverts to U15 level. Formats, days, dates etc are being organised at the moment and further details will be circulated to the clubs at later dates.
Helmets
Please note that all players are required to wear the correct Hurling helmet when training and in games. In Advance of the 2021 season players are reminded to check that their equipment is in good condition and meets the required safety standards. The following helmet manufacturers currently provide products which meet the standards set out in IS:355 or other replacement standard as determined by the National Safety Authority of Ireland, ATAK SPORTS, AZZURI, COOPER, MARC SPORTS, MYCRO, O’NEILLS. Once a facemask or helmet is modified in any way the player is playing at an increased risk of injury and are not covered under the terms of the GAA injury benefit Fund
2020 Competitions
1. U21 Football Championships – Abandoned
2. Minor Premier & A Final – Will be played at the next available date
3. County Junior A Hurling Championship Semi Finals & Final – Will be played at the next available date.
4. County & Divisional Junior B Hurling & Football Championship – will be played at the next available date. (County will only go ahead if time permits).
5. Clubs will be afforded sufficient lead time to train prior to the commencement of their respective Championships.
2021 Competitions
The 2021 County U21 Hurling and Football Championships will take in the Autumn.
The U19 Hurling and Football Championship will replace the 2020 Minor Hurling and Football Championship. Will be played on Friday Evenings and Sundays.

CLUB GROUNDS
As we continue in Level 5 Covid restrictions, please note that entry to any section of the club playing and training grounds is strictly prohibited. The walking track will remain open in daylight hours only but please abide by the 2 metre adherence guidelines.
ENGAGEMENT
Congratulations to Senior Player Shane Garry on his recent engagement to Claire. We wish them both many years of happiness and good health.
CONDOLENCES
We express our deepest sympathies to our Child Welfare Officer, Annemarie O Neill and her son Colin, on the recent death of her mam. Prayers are also extended to anyone sick within our extended parishes during these trying times.
