Hurling and Football Leagues
Our junior hurlers continued their good form last Monday May 2nd, recording their fourth win from four in the City/East junior A league with a 1-17 to 0-12 over neighbours Monaleen. Jack Fitzpatrick scoring an impressive 0-11 on the night. We wish a speedy recovery to a couple of players who received nasty head injuries on the night. Next up is a home game against Cappamore on Tuesday 10th May throw in 7.30pm.
Our U15 hurlers played Croom on Monday May 2nd. Croom were well ahead at half time after scoring some early goals, but our boys never gave up and were unlucky not to equalize before the end. Final Score Croom 3-08 to South Liberties 2-08. Well done to Danny Fitzpatrick from our U13 panel for going in goals as Cian Lawlor was out injured.
Our U13 players had no match last week due to postponement from our opponents over Ed Sheeran but this coming week they take on Mungret at home in Dooley Park at 7pm

Last Sunday May 8th, prior to everyone travelling to the TUS Gaelic Grounds, we had a bus arrive from Clonmel full of U9’s and U11’s to play games with our own lads. Many thanks to all the parents for all the donations of food. All the kids were treated to hot dogs and drinks before departing to support Tipperary. A return trip is on the cards for next year when St Marys will return the hospitality.
Limerick GAA
Congratulations to the Limerick hurlers on their defeat of Tipperary last Sunday in the TUS Gaelic Grounds. It was a bit of a lack lustre game for Limerick, but a superb point from Barry Nash seemed to spur the whole team on and they now have 3 wins from 3.
We now wish them the best of luck in the 4th round V Clare next Sunday May 15th in Ennis and also best wishes to the Footballers when they take on Tipperary in Thurles on Saturday May 14th.
