Rathkeale GAA Club Notes:

Anthony Frawley – RIP
Sincere sympathies to the friends and family of Anthony Frawley, who sadly passed away on Saturday.
Anthony is survived by his daughters Tracy and Michelle, his son Ger, sisters Helen & Angela, and wider family. Anthony was a great clubman, supporter, member, fundraiser, and volunteer of Rathkeale GAA Club, always keen to lend a hand, no matter what the occasion was. Anthony will be fondly remembered by everyone within the community and parish of Rathkeale, and will no doubt be reunited with his wife Molly once again.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Junior A Hurlers Off to a Winning Start:
Well done to our Junior A Hurlers who commenced their season with a commanding win away to Dromcollogher Broadford. In what was a wet and cold day for hurling, our lads enjoyed a good victory, winning out on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-07. Well done to everyone involved, and best of luck for the season ahead.

Junior B Football Team (Proposal):
Rathkeale GAA club are considering entering a Junior B Football Team for the upcoming season. Anyone interested please contact Dean Maune on 0877169732. This would be an ideal opportunity for people who might want to play some football, but don’t have the time to commit to Senior Football. It would also be good for people who may not have played in a few years and want to get back on the field. Please contact Dean immediately if interested, as the cut off for entering a team is this Thursday.

Cappagh Rathkeale win Feile Competition:
Heartiest Congratulations once again to the Division 2 Feile Football Winners of Cappagh Rathkeale, who defeated Na Piarsaigh on a scoreline of 2-11 to 3-07 on St Parick’s Day. We will go onto represent Limerick at the Finals in Derry on June 28th. Best of luck to everyone involved.

St Patricks Day Parade:
Rathkeale GAA Club enjoyed a fantastic afternoon participating in the St Patrick’s Day Parade, which was both enjoyed by the young and the older!
2024 was a fantastic year for the Club, and it was brilliant to see our adult players, parading no less than three Cups with some of our Bord na nOg players!
Well done to all involved and to those that participated. We may have been down in numbers with our successful involvement in the Feile competition, but we definitely made up for it with noise, so well done to our younger members, as well as Mikey Morrissey and Andrew White who were in flying form!
It was a fantastic parade, and well done to all the committee and volunteers that made this wonderful day happen, we appreciate all the effort and dedication that goes into these events. Well done to you all!
