Rathkeale GAA Club Notes:
Senior Footballers:
Well done to our senior footballers who have made a very good start to the 2026 season and currently remain unbeaten in dfvision 2 of the League campaign. In their opening fixture they overcame Oola on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-12. In round 2, they enjoyed a good win over near neighbours ABK on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-08, while in their last encounter they drew with Ballylanders on a scoreline of 1-07 to 0-10 in the Bog Garden. Rathkeale now top the group with 5 points from their opening 3 games, with their next trip currently scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd, away to Galtee Gaels in Kilbehenny, with a throw in time of 7.30pm. Best of luck to the players and management with their continued good run.
Junior A Hurlers:
Rathkeale will be hoping to pick up some points in their next fixture, after losing their opening two games. In round 1, Rathkeale lost out to Killeedy on a scoreline of 0-24 to 1-15, while in round 2, they lost to a strong Ballybrown team with a score of 0-13 to 0-20. Their round 3 fixture is scheduled away to Bruff on Wednesday, April 22nd, with a throw in time of 7.00pm. Best of luck to all the players and management.
Congratulations to Conor O’Dwyer:
Well done to Conor O’Dwyer who enjoyed a fine display for the Limerick Minor Footballers last week, scoring 4 points from the half back line in the opening half. After a good lead, Limerick unfortunately were pipped by a late Waterford surge. Hard luck to Conor with the result, however well done with the performance.
Club Limerick Draw:
Following Maureen Tully’s win of €200 in the March Club Limerick draw, we will be hoping to have more winners in the upcoming April Draw on Saturday 25th.
