Pallasgreen GAA Club Notes:
Junior Ladies Football:
Well done to our Junior Ladies, who rounded off their championship campaign with a fine victory over Mungret in Mungret last Sunday morning. A win would guarantee Pallas a place in the semi-finals, and they duly delivered, although the final scoreline perhaps suggests a more comfortable afternoon than it actually was. The opening 20 minutes were a tight and hard-fought affair, with scores at a premium as both sides battled for control. Pallas eventually found some breathing space with two well-taken goals from Sarah Dillon and Caoimhe Butler, helping them to a 2-2 to 0-3 lead at the interval. Pallas were dominant across most sectors of the field in the second half and created plenty of opportunities, but were unable to fully capitalise on the chances that came their way. Mungret’s only score after the break came in the form of a goal, while Pallas added a further 1-5 to put the result beyond doubt. The final score was Pallas 3-7, Mungret 1-3, a deserved victory that secures a place in the semi-finals. Details of semi final on Sunday 27th to be confirmed.
A great team performance and a well-earned reward for the Junior Ladies. Well done to all involved, and best of luck in the semi-final!
