Intermediate Hurling Championship:
The intermediate hurlers showed tremendous battling qualities last Thursday night in their third-round action against Feohanagh/Castlemahon in Ballyagran. Ahead at the break by 1-10 to 1-8, Pallas were looking good for the points, but couldn’t sustain their superiority and Feohanagh scored two late goals to secure victory by 3-15 to 1-15. Minor Football:
The minor footballers completed a double county final appearance following a narrow one point over Knockaderry in Maguires Field UL Wednesday night. It was a see saw type of game with both sides dominating for periods and lots of missed chances. Pallas had missed opportunities infront of goal which could have sealed the tie earlier, but the westerners fought back and left the game on a knife edge heading towards the final whistle. It was relief all round as Pallas got over the line by the minimum 2-14 to 1-16. Junior B Hurling:
A spirited display by the Junior B hurlers wasn’t enough to get past Glenroe in the latest round in the county championship last Sunday afternoon. In a high scoring encounter in Knocklong where storm clouds surrounded the area, but thankfully the rain held off towards the end of the game, Pallas were ahead at the break by 3-8 to 2-10, goals coming from Garry Fraher (2) and Darren Roche. The second half was nip and tuck up to the last quarter as the Glenroe side took control and saw out the game winning by 3-22 to 3-12.
