All Ireland Cups Comes to Pallasgreen:
This Saturday evening, August 22nd, the Liam MacCarthy Cup and All-Ireland Minor Cup will arrive at Pallasgreen GAA Field at approximately 6.30pm. The club is incredibly proud of its two players, Colin Ryan and Daire Long, who featured with their respective teams in this year’s All-Ireland campaigns. To add even more to the occasion, the All-Ireland Poc Fada trophy, won by Colin Ryan, will also be there on the evening. So come along for a great evening of celebration, photographs and memories! You never know who you might meet at the GAA grounds! Everyone is welcome, we look forward to seeing you there!
Intermediate Football Championship:
The intermediate footballers had to settle for second best against Ahane in the third round of the Intermediate football championship in Cappamore last week by 4-18 to 1-11
Ladies Football:
In the second round of the Junior championship Pallas lost narrowly to Ahane in Pallas by 4-6 to 2-11. In a game of two halves, Pallas trailed their opponents at half time by 3-6 to 1-2. But a remarkable second half performance almost saw them take something from the contest, but Ahane held out for the narrowest of wins.
U16 Hurling:
Well done to the U16 hurling team who had a comprehensive victory over South Liberties in Pallas by 3-22 to 0-9. Team; Ml O’Dwyer, Ben Bohan, Jack O’Dwyer, Maurice O’Brien, Sean Hourigan, Sean McNamara, Paudie Blackwell, Noah Deere, Paddy Hourigan, Conor Hanley, John Stokes, Darragh Lane, Jacob Murphy Ryan, Conor Hourigan, Liam Hourigan
Golf Classic:
Pallasgreen GAA Club is delighted to announce that its annual golf classic will take place on Friday, 21st August, at the wonderful Ballykisteen Golf club. As it does every year, the Golf Classic promises to be a fantastic day of golf and socialising for golfers, club members, supporters. The event has become a highlight of the club’s annual calendar, offering an enjoyable day on one of the region’s finest golf courses.
The entry fee is €200 per team of four, which includes a meal afterwards in the clubhouse, providing the opportunity to relax following the day’s golf.
