Pallasgreen GAA Club Notes:
Co Hurling League:
The intermediate hurlers made the trip to Limerick City last Saturday afternoon to take on Na Piarsaigh.in the first round of the league in Caherdavin. Played in dry but cold conditions, Pallas with the aid of a stiffish breeze made a positive start going ahead after five minutes of play scoring a goal and two points without reply. The home side came into the game as the half wore on, but held a slender lead at the break 1-7 to 1-4. The second period was a ding doing battle with every ball contested for supremacy. Eventually the home stuck their noses in front and from there to the final whistle took the honours by 1-15 to 2-10. Pallasgreen LGFC:
Well done to the adult team who had a great win over Adare in Adare last Sunday morning. Played in difficult conditions Pallas led at the break 4-3 to 1-3. Considering the conditions, it was a fine competitive outing and a special mention must go to the girls who played their first adult game. Having scored another 2-2 in the second was enough to see them over the line by 6-5 to 5-4. Team Roisin McCarthy, Essie Dillon, Hannah Dillon, Ciara McNamara, Niamh Mulcahy, Aine Looby, Aoibhe Rodahan, Grace Leaden, Sarah Dillon, Emily Franklin, Sinead McGuinness, Hannah Fealy, Lisa McGuinness, Caoimhe Butler, Roisin O’Connell.
