Pallasgreen G.A.A. Club Notes:
Feile Camogie County Final:
There was heartbreak but also great admiration for the U15 Féile camogie team as they reached the Division 3 Feile county final in Mungret last Sunday afternoon. Their journey to the final was hugely impressive, with excellent performances recorded against Doon, Knockaderry/St. Kieran’s, and Cappamore. The semi-final proved to be a particularly thrilling encounter, where they edged past Ahane by the narrowest of margins on a scoreline of 1-2 to 1-1. The final itself was a tense and exciting contest. Glenroe started strongly and led by 0-2 to 0-0 in the opening half. However, the Pallas girls showed great determination after the break, delivering a much-improved second-half performance to draw level at 1-3 to 0-6 and force the game into extra time. In the additional period, it was a single decisive moment that settled the outcome. A goal for Glenroe ultimately proved the difference, as they claimed the title on a final scoreline of 2-3 to 0-6. Despite the disappointment, the team can take immense pride in their performances, resilience, and the spirit they showed throughout the competition.Team; Mia Hally, Layla McMahon, Anita McMahon, Ava King, Orla O’Dwyer, Juliette McKenna, Eadaoin Butler, Molly Dillon, Emma King, Anna Fennesy, Ella Hartnett, Lily King, Molly McConnell, Molly Deere, Nicole O’Sullivan.
