Na Piarsaigh GAA Club Notes:

Football Roundup:
Our intermediate footballers have won promotion to division 2 of the county football league, along with qualifying for the league final following 3 wins on the bounce. Having lost out to Galbally in round 2, our lads served up a goalfest in their round 3 win over Cappagh. Mark Hogan and James Daly grabbed a pair of 3-pointers each in what was a bruising encounter. The lads added to that result with a 5-point victory over St. Senan’s in Foynes last Wednesday evening, setting up a winner-takes-all clash with St. Patrick’s on Saturday night. Another 5-point win for the sky blues in Rhebogue means we’ll play in division 2 of the county football league next season. Great credit is due to Con Daly, his management team and all the players in bouncing back from the disappointing end to the 2025 championship campaign. We look forward to our lads continuing their great run of form into the league final and the championship later in the summer.

Limerick Underage:
Shane Waters stood tall for the Limerick minors on Friday night in their 9-point win over Cork in Páirc Uí Rinn, setting up a Munster final with Tipp next Friday evening. The Ashbrook man captained the Treaty side in what was a dominant display at wing forward, finishing the game with 7 points, 3 of those from play.
Sean O’Brien and Sean Connolly were both involved with the Limerick Celtic Challenge team as they defeated Offaly on Saturday in the Quarter Final.

Following in his ould lads footsteps, Hugo Roberts lined out for the Limerick U15 footballers, along with Max Ross, as they defeated Tipp on Saturday in Emly.
Cian Moore lined out between the sticks for the Limerick Minor footballers as they lost out to Laois on Saturday afternoon.
We had five Na Piarsaigh boys togging for Limerick U16 hurlers on Saturday the 2nd of May in Caherlohan against Clare. Ross O’Flanagan, Cian Moore, Ronan Gleeson, Charlie Ryan and George Stack.
We had 4 lads lining out for Limerick U14’s last Saturday as well. Conor Flanagan, Luke Hartnett, Will O’Leary and Evan Waters featuring against Clare and Mid Tipp.
Our U15 boys were also hard at it, last Saturday with Seán Ryan and Liam Sheehan playing against Clare in TUS while Paddy McCaul lined out against Dublin at the same venue.
