INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL
Mungret St. Pauls 1-12 Ballylanders 2-9
This was a game where there was some very impressive scores and great team work was applied in the Limerick Motor Centre sponsored Intermediate Football League match on Saturday 9 March 2019.
The game started with Mungret St. Pauls winning a free in the opening minutes but it was not strong enough to reach the cross bar and landed in the Ballylanders goalies hands. Mungret St. Pauls powered on and secured the next point. A free saw Ballylanders open their score
followed a few minutes later by a close range goal, another free gave Ballylanders a 4 point lead. Mungret St. Pauls kept taking their chances on scoring 4 missed chances before Mungret St .Pauls scored their second point in the 20th minute of the game. Ballylanders pointed 3 more unanswered bringing the game into the last 5 minutes of
the first half Mungret St. Pauls scored another 2 points one either side of Ballylanders second goal.
The second half was a stronger game for Mungret St. Pauls they came back on the pitch firing on all cylinders, they added on 4 points, holding back Ballylanders from scoring. Ballylanders scored a point from free but Mungret St. Pauls pulled themselves back to only a 2 point behind but Ballylanders got into their second wind and pulled
ahead with another 3 points but it was Mungret St. Pauls were the ones to shine in the last eight minutes of the game as they clawed back the 5 points to draw by the whistle. It was in these minutes we saw a well
produced goal having worked through 3 Ballylanders players the ball was struck neatly into the far corner of the net. A well taken free leveled the game.

HEALTH AND WELLBEING
Limerick GAA Health & Well Being Committee were asked by Croke Parkto host the ” Ageing Positively” Seminar in the Woodlands on Wednesday 20th March 7-9pm. The event is free to GAA and non GA people . TILDA who conducted a 10 year survey with over 8,500
people over 50 yrs will be presenting their findings on the night through Professor Rose Ann Kenny who is a leading expert in this area. There will also be music and light refreshments on the night. .
