Limerick Players:
Limerick U14 Camogie Development Blitz – Caherlohan, Clare
What a busy morning of camogie at the GAA Centre of Excellence in Caherlohan at the weekend! Our U14 Development squads took to the field against development panels from Waterford, Offaly, Laois and Clare – and wore the green jersey with pride throughout.
The girls continue to improve with every game and are already looking forward to the next blitz in two weeks’ time. A special mention to our own Phoebe Mullane who captained the Glas Team today – brilliant stuff Phoebe!
Limerick U15 Camogie Development – Round 3 National Fixtures
Our U15 Development team faced Clare in Mungret at the weekend in Round 3 of the National U15 Development Fixtures. A closely fought contest throughout, with Clare edging it late on with some second half scores.
Limerick 3-12 Clare 5-11
Despite the result there is plenty to be proud of – the girls battled hard from start to finish. A special shoutout to our own Ava Larkin who captained the team — well done Ava!
We done to the U-14 Limerick Footballers who took part in the U14 intercounty football Camida competition on Saturday 11 July 2026. Well done to Mungret St. Pauls players Oisin O’Callaghan, Paidi Mullins and Fionn Cummane with Ruadhan O hAnnaigh on the team that won the Shield.
Best of Luck to Limerick Senior Hurlers in the All Ireland Final in Croke Park on Sunday 19 July against Galway. Best of Luck to Mungret St. Paul’s Fintan Fitzgerald.

U16 Division 1 & 2 Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 0-09 Dromcollogher Broadford 4-06
Mungret St. Pauls were left to rue a handful of crucial moments as goals proved the difference in their U-16 Division 1 Football Championship encounter with Dromcollogher Broadford in Mungret on Monday 6 July 2026.
Mungret/St. Pauls made a bright start, opening the scoring with an early point, but Dromcollogher Broadford responded immediately with a goal to edge in front. Mungret St. Pauls showed plenty of character and refused to let the setback affect them, keeping the scoreboard ticking with some well-taken points.
A second goal for the visitors midway through the half again put them ahead, but Mungret St. Pauls continued to play some excellent football. Their patience and accuracy in attack saw them register nine points over the opening thirty minutes, with scores coming from a variety of attacks. Despite conceding two goals, Mungret St. Pauls battled back to ensure the sides were level at the interval, 0-09 to 2-03.
Dromcollogher/Broadford made the stronger start to the second half, landing three unanswered points before finding the net once more to open up a significant advantage. Mungret St. Paul worked tirelessly into the breeze, to get back into the contest, but found scores difficult to come by against a determined Dromcollogher/Broadford defence.
A fourth Dromcollogher/Broadford goal in the closing stages ended any hopes of a comeback, with them seeing out the game to claim a 4-06 to 0-09 victory.
While the result was disappointing, there were plenty of positives for Mungret St. Pauls. The side matched their opponents for long periods, particularly in the opening half, showing good movement, accurate point-taking and tremendous work rate throughout. Ultimately, the concession of four goals proved decisive, but the effort and determination shown by the players will provide plenty to build on in the games ahead.

U14 Football Division 1 & 2:
Mungret St. Pauls 3-9 Newcastle West 1-6
Mungret St. Pauls continued their impressive run in the U-14 Football Division 1 & 2 competition with a deserved 3-09 to 1-06 victory over Newcastle West on Thursday evening, Thursday 9 July 2026.
The visitors made a bright start and quickly settled into their rhythm, moving the ball well and taking their scoring chances. Two well-taken first-half goals proved crucial as Mungret St. Pauls established control, while a disciplined defensive display limited Newcastle West’s opportunity. At the interval, Mungret St. Pauls held a healthy lead, 2-04 to 1-02.
Newcastle West came out with renewed determination after the restart and looked to close the gap, but Mungret St. Pauls responded well. The visitors showed great composure in possession, continued to work hard around the field, and were rewarded with a third goal that gave them breathing space.
Mungret St. Pauls defence remained resolute throughout the second half, restricting the home side to just four additional points, while the attack continued to add to the scoreboard with some well-worked scores. Their teamwork, work rate, and determination were evident from start to finish as they closed out an impressive nine-point victory.
The final whistle confirmed an excellent 3-09 to 1-06 win for Mungret St. Pauls, with a strong all-round team performance providing plenty of positives to build on for the remainder of the season. Well done to all the players and management on another excellent display. This second win sees Mungret St. Pauls top the group table.

U14 Football Division 4:
Mungret St. Pauls 4-7 Ballybrown 4-9
Mungret St. Pauls were left disappointed after a hard-fought encounter against Ballybrown on Thursday evening, Thursday 9 July 2026, in Ballybrown with the home side edging an entertaining U-14 Division 4 contest by just two points.
From the throw-in, both teams played with great intensity and attacking intent, producing an exciting game for those in attendance. Mungret St. Pauls showed plenty of character throughout the contest, creating a number of excellent scoring opportunities and finding the net on four occasions to keep themselves firmly in the game.
The sides traded scores throughout a closely contested battle, with neither team able to establish a decisive advantage. Mungret St. Pauls forwards were clinical in front of goal, while the defence battled tirelessly against a determined Ballybrown attack.
As the game entered the closing stages, Mungret St. Pauls continued to press for the scores needed to turn the game in their favour, but Ballybrown managed to hold on and add enough scores to secure a narrow 4-09 to 4-07 victory. While the result was not the one Mungret St. Pauls were hoping for, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance. The players showed tremendous commitment, resilience, and teamwork throughout the hour, battling until the final whistle in what was a highly competitive contest. With performances like this, the team will take confidence into their upcoming fixtures as they continue to develop and improve over the remainder of the season.

Premier Junior A Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 3-16 Kilteely Dromkeen 0-06
Mungret St. Pauls produced an impressive all-round display to record a comprehensive 3-16 to 0-06 victory over Kilteely Dromkeen in the Junior Premier A Football Championship in Cappamore on Thursday 9 July 2026.
Mungret St. Pauls settled into the game quickly, opening the scoring inside five minutes before Kilteely Dromkeen responded with a point of their own. Mungret St. Pauls continued to dominate possession and were rewarded with a superb goal on 15 minutes, giving them a firm grip on the contest. That major score sparked a strong spell for Mungret St. Pauls as they added five unanswered points to stretch their advantage. Although Kilteely Dromkeen managed two further points before the interval, Mungret St. Pauls finished the half in style when they struck for a second goal just before the whistle. Holding a commanding 2-07 to 0-04 lead at half-time, Mungret St. Pauls were well in control.
The second half began much as the first had ended, with Mungret St. Pauls continuing to dictate proceedings. An early 2 pointer was followed by another well-taken goal midway through the half, effectively putting the result beyond doubt. Mungret St. Pauls maintained their intensity throughout, adding a succession of well-worked points while limiting Kilteely Dromkeen to just two scores after the break. The defence was outstanding throughout, restricting Kilteely Dromkeen to six points over the sixty minutes, while the attack showed great efficiency in front of goal, finishing with three goals and sixteen points. It was an excellent team performance from Mungret St. Pauls, with strong defending, hard work around the middle third and clinical finishing combining to secure a deserved 3-16 to 0-06 victory and an encouraging start to their Junior Premier A Football Championship campaign.

Senior Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 2-21– Adare 3-15
Mungret St. Pauls opened their Senior Football Championship campaign with a hard-earned two-point victory over Adare on a sweltering Friday evening, Friday 10 July 2026, in Newcastle West. Played in glorious sunshine, both sides served up an entertaining contest that featured excellent scores, outstanding goalkeeping at both ends, and plenty of championship intensity.
Mungret St. Pauls settled well into the game and were first on the scoreboard before gradually building momentum with a string of well-taken points. Adare remained in lead throughout the opening half, responding whenever Mungret St. Pauls looked to pull clear, but the Mungret St. Pauls attack continued to find its range.
The game’s first goal arrived early in the opening half when Adare found the net to close the gap, follwed up with their second 2 pointer of the game. Mungret St. Pauls responded in the perfect fashion, stricking for a superb goal to keep in touch, leaving them 1-9 to 2-8 behind at the interval. The second half continued at a frantic pace. Mungret St. Pauls soon leveled with the games fifth 2 pointer. Mungret St. Pauls showed great composure, with points from across the forward line keeping the scoreboard ticking over.
A crucial moment arrived near the end when Mungret St. Pauls struck brilliantly with a 2 pointer, giving valuable breathing space. Adare refused to go away, however, and a third goal ensured a tense finish as they piled on the pressure in the closing stages.
Both goalkeepers produced a number of outstanding saves throughout the contest, denying what looked like certain goals and keeping their respective teams in the hunt. The defensive work rate from both sides matched the quality in attack, making for a highly competitive championship encounter. Mungret St. Pauls got one last stike to the net to clench the win in the dying minutes of the game. The final whistle confirmed a deserved 2-21 to 3-15 win for Mungret St. Pauls, who will take plenty of confidence from a disciplined and determined team performance as they look ahead to the remainder of the championship.

U11 Football:
Well done to our U11 footballers on winning the sheild final on Sunday 12 July 2026, in the blistering heat, in Clondegad, in the Clondegad Football Tournament. Teams competing included Clondegad, Co. Clare, St Patricks, Co. Limerick, Mungret St Paul’s, Co. Limerick and Kildysart/Coolmeen, Co. Limerick. Well done to all the boys, some really competitive matches.
