Limerick Players:
What a finish for Limerick Camogie this weekend who kept their quarter-final hopes alive in the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship with a dramatic 1-18 to 3-11 win away to Wexford.
In a tightly contested game, Wexford looked set for victory late on, but Limerick surged back with the final three points to snatch the win at the death.
A huge team effort and a never-give-up attitude saw Limerick secure their second win of the campaign and keep their championship dreams alive!
Well done to #MSPCamogies Ailbhe Larkin and the entire squad on a great result.
Congratulations to the Limerick Minor Hurlers and to Mungret St Pauls Diarmuid Mullins and his backroom staff on their brilliant All Ireland win over Tipperary in TUS Gaelic Grounds.
Game Changer:
Mungret St. Pauls has been selected to pilot the Game Changer Programme, an initiative that aims to address gender-based violence and promote equality through sport.
The Munster Officer will visit the club on Thursday, 2nd July at 7.00pm to meet with us and introduce the programme. We are hoping to have a group of at least 10 participants in attendance, with a mix of male and female players, coaches and volunteers, all aged 18 and over.
We would greatly appreciate your support and encourage anyone interested to attend.
Réaltaí in Tour 2026:
Mungret Réaltaí travelled to Mallow GAA Grounds on Saturday last. The team travelled by bus and enjoyed a festival of football, hurling and sporting games, along with a number of other teams.
Post Blitz, well deserved refreshments were had by all including refreshing ice cream. There was plenty of teamwork, oodles of fun and magic memories made on the day. Thanks ever so much to Munster Council for the invitation and the organisation of a great event. Also a massive Bualadh Bos to the our outstanding club volunteers, the parents and of course our phemomenal players. Well done to all.
Community Games:
Congratulations to #MSPCamogie player Kate Coughlan who this weekend came second in county community games long puc.
Kate struck a distance a whopping distance of 65.35 meters – that’s almost the length of a Boeing 747 Airplane, 14 parked cars and 7 double decker buses. UNRALE!!!!

U6 Camogie:
With our U6s finishing up next week for their summer break, we paid them a recent visit to see how they’re getting on – and what a lovely session it was!
There was great fun all around, with lots of smiles and plenty of new skills being learned.
It’s fantastic to see such great numbers each week. A huge thank you to all the players, their parents for the continued support, and of course our amazing coaches who make it all happen.
Our U6 camogie crew will be back in September, every Thursday at 6pm. New players very welcome – for children born in 2020 & 2021. Enjoy the summer everyone.
U13 Camogie:
The U13A Limerick Camogie league is well and truly underway with 2 matches until our belt so far.
Our first match against Monaleen saw our opponents go away with the win but last night our girls worked hard against Bruff resulting in a good win. stay tuned for more!
Junior A Hurling:
Mungret St. Pauls 1-18 St. Patricks 1-21
Mungret St. Pauls came up just short against St. Patrick’s in an entertaining and hard-fought City Junior A Hurling Championship encounter in Claughaun on Monday evening, 22 June 2026 losing out by three points on a scoreline of 1-21 to 1-18.
The home side made the brighter start, racing into a three-point lead inside the opening two minutes with a trio of points from play. Mungret St. Pauls gradually settled into the contest and responded impressively with scores from Brendan Giltenane, Eoghan Mulcahy and Ronan O’Brien to draw level by the seventh minute.
St. Patrick’s regained the initiative with two further points before a goal from play gave them a five-point cushion. Mungret St. Pauls refused to be rattled and chipped away at the deficit through a Matt O’Sullivan 65 and a series of well-taken frees from Conor Garvey.
The pressure began to tell as Mungret St. Pauls dominated possession and scoring opportunities. Points from JJ Harrington, Diarmaid Hynes and Brendan Giltenane helped level the game before another Garvey free tied matters once more approaching half-time.
The crucial moment of the half arrived in injury time when Eoghan Mulcahy found the net from play, giving Mungret St. Pauls a deserved 1-11 to 1-9 lead at the interval.
Mungret St. Pauls carried that momentum into the second half, extending their advantage with four unanswered points. Brendan Giltenane, Conor Garvey, Eoghan Mulcahy and Garvey again from a free pushed the lead out to six points by the sixth minute of the second period.
However, St. Patrick’s responded strongly and gradually wrestled back control. Eight unanswered points, including a mix of frees and scores from play, turned a six-point deficit into a three-point lead midway through the half. Despite battling hard throughout the field, Mungret St. Pauls found scores difficult to come by during this crucial spell.
Eoghan Mulcahy helped halt the momentum with two excellent points from play in quick succession to leave just a single point between the sides entering the closing stages. Unfortunately, St. Patrick’s were able to keep the scoreboard ticking over, adding further scores to maintain their advantage.
Mungret St. Pauls continued to fight until the final whistle, and a late point from Robert O’Brien kept hopes alive, but St. Patrick’s finished strongly and added the final score of the game to secure a 1-21 to 1-18 victory.
While disappointed with the result, Mungret St. Pauls can take plenty of positives from a spirited display that saw them recover from an early setback, build a six-point lead and remain competitive throughout against a determined St. Patricks side.
U-6 Boys:
The U-6 Boys had their final group training session before the summer break on Monday, 22 June 2026. It was an evening full of fun, games, and plenty of smiles as the boys celebrated all their hard work and progress throughout the season.
Well done to all the players for the effort, enthusiasm, and commitment they have shown so far this year. We hope they continue to practice over the summer before regrouping in September. We wish them all a great summer and look forward to seeing them back on the pitch in the autumn.
U-14 Football Division 1 & 2:
Mungret St. Paul’s delivered a commanding performance on Thursday evening, 25 June 2026, securing a comprehensive victory over South Liberties in the U-14 Football Division 1 & 2 Championship. Playing on home turf, Mungret St. Pauls established control early in the match and never looked back.
From the opening whistle, Mungret St. Paul’s showcased sharp passing and clinical finishing. The home side dominated possession, transitioning smoothly from defense to attack and finding space in the South Liberties backline. A flurry of early goals and well-taken points allowed Mungret St. Pauls to build a massive lead by the referee’s short whistle, while their disciplined defense kept South Liberties under intense pressure.
The second half followed a similar pattern. Mungret St. Paul’s utilized their bench effectively, maintaining a high work rate and tactical discipline across the pitch. South Liberties fought bravely to break through, but Mungret St. Pauls defensive organization remained resolute. By the time the final whistle blew, Mungret St. Paul’s had comfortably wrapped up a strong and well-deserved victory to boost their championship campaign.
