It was a tough battle for the Limerick Minor Footballers on Tuesday 2 April 2024 when they played Tipperary in Fethard in the first round. The result was not in Limericks favour, Limerick 0-10 Tipperary 2-13. Mungret St. Pauls are proud to have on the team, Daniel O’Connell, Rory Mullins and captain, Conor O’Longaigh. We also have Sean Ahern on the management.

Con and Annie Kirby:
The Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Stakes quarter final round was on Saturday 6 April 2024. Both our dogs had a good run with the Ladies Football dog, Ballymac Patriot coming first in his heat and going through to the Semi Final, unfortunately our dog for Mungret St. Pauls GAA, Droppys Metaphor struggled to keep up with the leader and bowed out at this stage. We would like to wish the best of luck to our players who will take part in the long puc and cic this Saturday. Gates open at 6.30pm, it would be great to see you out supporting the dogs.
Ladies Football:
Well done to Caoimhe, Cáit, Anna, Molly, who represented their county last weekend. They played Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh astro. Limerick were ahead by 3 points at half time and put up a good fight. Unfortunately, Cork proved too strong, especially in the final quarter.
We at Mungret LGFA are very proud of their efforts on the field. Final score Limerick 1-7
Cork 0-15
The Intermediate Team met up with former player Ciara Conway of St James, Galway last weekend and played a very enjoyable challenge. They spent the rest of the weekend bonding and preparing themselves for the upcoming league games
La na GClub 2024:

A hugh bualadh bos to all the volunteers who made this day possible, thanks for your time and effort. There was Craic agus Ceol and good old fashioned fun, Well to all involved.
Junior Camogie:
Our Juniors got off to a winning start this Sunday when they hosted Tournafulla at a wet and windy Crescent Comp pitch as the kicked off the league. Mungret dominated from the off with Ailbe Larkin popping a few quick points over the bar to get things rolling.
Mungret 3:11 Tournafulla 1:4
U-17 Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 3-8 Monaleen 1-4
On a cold, wet Wednesday, 3 April 2024 our U-17 Division 1 Footballers welcomed Monaleen to the Senior pitch in Mungret. It was a slow start for Mungret St. Pauls as it took them over twenty minutes to get a score going when Monaleen had built up a 1-3 score but once Mungret St. Pauls got going there was no stopping them, by the half time whistle there was only a point seperating the two sides with Mungret St. Pauls the point behind.
The second half was Mungret St. Pauls game as they held Monaleen to one point and continued on their own scores to eventually win by ten points. A great start to the league for our players.
U-13 Football:
Mungret St. Pauls 1-6 Crecora Manister 1-8
Our division 3 footballers were in Crecora on Wednesday 3 April 2024 this was a very competitive game, the first competitive one for our 12 year olds as they get their first taste of the Championship. A great result for a first time out.
Mungret St. Pauls 0-2 Monaleen 2-12
Down a few of the 13 year old players as the division 1 team played a strong Monaleen team on Thursday 4 April 2024 in the Crescent Comprehensive pitch. Our players put in a great effort where there was a lot of great tackles and passes throughout the game. While the score was not on their side they never let their game drop.
Junior B Hurling:
Mungret St. Pauls 0-10 Fedamore 0-6
On Friday 5 April 2024 in Crescent Comprehensive our Junior B Hurlers took on Fedamore in the first round of the League, Mungret St. Pauls had an early start on the score board with Fedamore getting in their own scores but it was Mungret St. Pauls that held the lead through out. The second half was much the same with Mungret St. Pauls hitting the sliotar on target when they got the chance. A great game to open the league for this team.
Senior Hurling:
Mungret St. Pauls 0-21 Monaleen 0-11
On Saturday 6 April 2024 on our Senior pitch with the ball catcher by the road flapping in the strong breeze having come loose with the overnight winds our Senior Hurlers welcomed Monaleen to what was a great game of skill. Mungret St. Pauls had the aid of the breeze with them in the first half and they took full advantage of it as they built up twelve points with Monaleen only getting one point on the board before the break.
Back out and Mungret St. Pauls kept the pressure on and as they were the only ones to score in the first ten minutes, then Monaleen hit a purple patch with Mungret St. Pauls adding on a few more scores between their scores to hold the lead and the win, a very successful start to the league.
Junior A Hurling:
Mungret St. Pauls 1-14 Monaleen 0-14
It was a breezy Sunday morning, 7 April 2024 when Monaleens second team met with our second team in the Junior A League opening match. This was a tight game where every score counted, Mungret St. Pauls hit the net just at the end of the first quarter which boosted us back to the lead for a few minutes, there was a handing over of the lead through out the first thirty minutes.
The second half saw us with the breeze which made long range frees scorable and they were put to great use as we started to take the lead and keep ahead of Monaleen to finish out the match on a three point win.
