It was a weekend to forget for Limerick with our County Footballers and Hurlers both suffering National League defeats. Our Footballers will be the most disappointed after rallying back to level against Down in Mick Neville Park only to see the away side kick the final score of the day. Once more Eliah Riordan was prominent on the scoreboard kicking 0-05 which included a brace of two pointers. Mark McCarthy and Diarmuid Buckey were again commanding in defence with Rory O’Brien also making an impact following his half time introduction.

Next up for our County Footballers is a round three home tie against Wexford in Mick Neville Park on Sunday February 15th at 2.00pm. Our County Hurlers will however be in action this Sunday February 8th playing Kilkenny in the Gaelic Grounds at 3.45pm.

Fr. Caseys club lotto continued on Tuesday January 27th with a Jackpot of €30,000 up for grabs. The numbers drawn were 1, 4, 26 with the bonus ball 7. There was no Jackpot winner but we did have eight Match 3 winners claiming €50 each and well as our regular lucky dip prizes. The draw will continue next Tuesday with the Jackpot remaining at the maximum value of €30,000.

This week we also held our special January Draw. Forty names selected throughout January went into the draw with two lucky winners emerging.

The weekly progressive 41 card game continued last Friday night and another great night was enjoyed. Starting at 8.30pm sharp in the GAA Clubhouse, please spread the word and bring a friend, old and new faces are more than welcome.
