Fr Caseys GAA Club Notes:
2026 Championship Draws:
The draws for the Limerick GAA Club championships took place last week and our Senior and Junior A teams now know their faith for the summer months. We wish all players and management the very best in this year’s competitions and hopefully we will have some silverware to celebrate.
In Group 1 of the Senior Football Championship, Fr. Caseys will face Newcastle West, St. Kierans, Oola, Galtee Gaels and Monaleen. After five group games the top side will advance to the county semi-finals while the second and third place teams will qualify for the county quarter-finals.
In Group 2 of the Premier Junior A Football Championship, Fr. Caseys will have a feast of local derbies having been draw against Glin, Athea and Monagea with Mungret and Kilteely/Dromkeen also involved.
Limerick GAA:
Well done to the Limerick Footballers who started their National League campaign with a valuable 0-13 to 1-10 draw away to Laois. Eliah Riordan looked like he had given victory to Limerick with a fantastic two point free but Laois fought back to kick the final score. Both Eliah and Mark McCarthy were on the scoresheet on the day with Diarmuid Buckley also starting in defence. From the bench both Sam Quigley and Rory O’Brien made an impact with Sean Kilbridge also involved. The next league outing will be this Saturday at 2pm in Mick Neville Park when Limerick face Down. On Sunday our county hurlers begin their league campaign with an away trip to Waterford.
Well done also to Orla O’Connor, a valuable member of our underage Girls football who starred in midfield for the County U16 Camogie team as they won the Munster Sheild Final with a narrow one point victory over Waterford last Saturday in Fethard.
Club Lotto Results:
Fr. Casey’s Club Lotto continued on Tuesday January 20th with a Jackpot of €30,000 up for grabs. The numbers drawn were 15, 18, 24 with the bonus ball 6. There was no Jackpot winner but we did have eight Match 3 winners claiming €50 each and well as our regular lucky dip prizes. The draw will continue next Tuesday with the Jackpot remaining at the maximum value of €30,000.
We are also running a January Draw. Ten names will be selected each week in January for entry into the draw with a special monthly prize up for grabs at the end.

Friday Night Card Game:
The weekly progressive 41 card game continued last Friday night and another great night was enjoyed. Starting at 8.30pm sharp in the GAA Clubhouse, please spread the word and bring a friend, old and new faces are more than welcome.
