Fixtures and Results
Well done to all the lads who represented the Club in the Feile Competition last weekend. They performed really well against 3 teams who all fancied themselves to come out of the group.
The first game against Blackrock was keenly contested all the way. We came in half time 3 points down but confident we could overcome that with the help of the wind in the second half. The lads gained control of the game and with 3 minutes to go Oisin Rabbitt converted a free to put us a point ahead. The game see sawed but Blackrock scored a goal in the last minute to win by 2.
Game 2 was against Coshlea Gaels. We got a great win in this game with Liam getting a cracking hat trick of goals. Good scores also from Oisin, Conor and Dylan.
The third game was against Bruff. Going by the earlier results, teams were beating each other against the run of form so it was all to play for. Unfortunately with our smaller and younger squad than anyone else there, we just ran out of steam. Bruff pulled away in the second half with a few goals to win well. Special mention to some of our younger players in this game who performed really well.
All in all, it was a great morning of entertainment with many super performances. Too many really to mention individual players. A superb squad performance on the day.
We look forward to another busy week of fixtures across all ages. Best of luck to all
