We lost out to Kilteely/ Dromkeen in our first game of the championship. Kilteely/ Dromkeen leading at the break by 1-7 to 0-9 with their goal coming from Darren Connery and then in the second half Kilteely/ Dromkeen outscored us by 2-11 to 1-8 with our goal coming from Keith Lacey from penalty and their goals came from Denis O’Dea and Darren Connery to give them a seven point over us. We started off our Season with a good victory over Crecora/Mainster. Dromcollogher/ Broadford led at the break by 1-10 to 0-05 with our goal coming from Michael O’Sullivan and then in the second half we outscored Crecora/ Mainster by 4-6 to 0-7, with two of our goals coming from Robert Jefferies and a goal each from Michael O’Sullivan and Damien Lacey to leave 19 points between the sides at end of the game. This was our last final game in the group stages of the Hurling Championship, we unlucky to lose out to Pallasgreen on Wednesday night last, played in Pallasgreen, played in very good conditions, at the break Pallasgreen led by 1-10 to 1-07 with our goal coming from Callum Curtin and in the second half both teams scored the amount of points with Pallasgreen scoring 0-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford scoring 2-05 with our goals coming from John Lenihan and Conor McGarry. The table after the final round read as follows: St. Kieran’s 10 points (+17), Pallasgreen 8 points (+4), Newcastle West 6 points (-6), Dromcollogher/ Broadford 4 points (-14).
