This was our second win of the season in the Football League, played down in Dromcollogher on Monday last, our scores on the night were Tommy Ryan (0-3, one two pointer), Kevin Noonan (0-3, 2f) Ryan Sheehan (0-3), Keith Lacey (0-1), Cian Breenan (0-1). Glin scored the first two points of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points with two points each coming from Ryan Seehan and Kevin Noonan one from a free and other point from play to give us a lead of two points. Glin scored the last point just the break to leave a point between the sides at end of the half. To leave the score half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-4 to Glin 0-3.
Glin scored the first point of the second half to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points, and these points came from Keith Lacey and Kevin Noonan from a free to leave two points between the sides once again. Glin replied with a point to leave a point between the sides and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next five points with three points of these points came from Tommy Ryan including one two pointer and the other points came from Cian Brennan and Ryan Sheehan to leave six points between the sides. Glin scored the first and only goal of the game just before the end of the game with 61 minutes gone in the game to leave three points between the sides at end of the game. Our team was narrowly defeated by Knockaderry in the All County hurling league opener played in Dromcollogher on last Wednesday night. The scores on the night were Micheál O’Kelly (1-9, including 6 frees), Alan Cussen (1-0), Muiris McCarthy (0-1), Callum Curtin (0-1), and Alex O’Sullivan (0-1). Calum Curtin of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the first point of the game and then Knockaderry replied with a point from a free to bring sides back on level terms for first time during the game. Micheal O’Kelly of Dromcollogher/Broadford replied with a pointed free and then Knockaderry scored the first goal of the game with seven minutes gone in the game to leave two points between the sides. Rhys Mulcahy of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next point of the game to leave a point between the sides and then Knockaderry scored pointed free to lead to lead by two points. Micheál O’Kelly of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored another pointed free to leave a point between the sides and then Knockaderry scored the next two points to leave three points between the sides. Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the last four points of the half just before the break to leave a point between sides at the end of the half with these points came from Micheál O’Kelly with from a free and the two from play and other point came from Alex O’Sullivan. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/Broadford 0-8 to Knockaderrry 1-4. Knockaderry scored the first point of the second half from a 65m to bring sides back on level terms for the third time the game and then Micheál O’Kelly of Dromcolllogher/Broadford scored the next point of the game to give us a lead of a point between the sides. Knockaderry scored the next 1-1 of the game with 44 minutes gone in the game to leave three points with both scores coming from frees. Micheál O’Kelly of Dromcollogher/Broadford replied with a pointed free to leave two points between the sides and then Knockaderrry scored the next 1-1 of the game to leave six points between the sides with 49 minutes gone in the game with both scores coming frees once again. Micheál O’Kelly of Dromcolllogher/Broadford scored another point to leave five points between the sies and then Knockaderry scored the next 1-1 of the game to leave nine points with 55 minutes in the game. Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the last 2-2 of the game just before the end of the game with the goals coming from Alan Cussen and Micheál O’Kelly and the points came from Muris McCarthy and Micheál O’Kelly to leave a point between the sides at end of the game.
