This was a very tight game between two evenly matched teams in which we lead all way until towards the end of the game played in Ballingarry on last Saturday evening, in very fine conditions. The table after Round 2 Read as follows: Templeglantine four points Crecora/ Manister 3 points Staker Wallace, 2 points and Dromcollogher/ Broadford a point and Blackrock no points.
Crecora/ Manister scored the first point of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points to take the lead with two of these points came from Damien Burke who had a great first half and the other points came from Derry McCarthy and Kevin Noonan. Crecora/ Manister scored the next two points to leave a point between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next five points to give us a lead of six points with three of these points coming from Damien Burke and the other points came from Jack Pierce and Keith Lacey. Crecora/ Manister and Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged pointed frees to leave six points between the sides once again and then Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point to lead by seven points.
We unfortunately had a super flicked goal from James Molyneaux ruled out by the officials. Crecora/ Mainster scored the next 1-1 of the game to leave three points at the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-11 to Crecora/ Manister 1-5.
Crecora/ Manister scored the first point of the second half to leave two points between the sides and then Keith Lacey scored the next two points to put four points between the sides. Crecora/ Manister scored next before, and Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford responded to leave four points and then Crecora/ Manister scored the next two points to leave two points between the sides. Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Crecora/ Manister exchanged points to leave a point and then Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Crecora/ Manister exchanged points to leave a point between the sides once again. Keith Lacey scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Crecora/ Manister scored the next point to leave a point between the sides to leave a point between the sides. This was a lively game in Coolyroe and a good performance from our Junior B hurlers with Feenagh/ Kilmeedy getting vital goals at vital stages during the game.
Brian Ahern of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point and then Feenagh/ Kilmeedy scored the next point of the game to bring sides on level terms for the first time during the game. Brian Stack of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game and then Feenagh/ Kilmeedy scored the next 1-2 of the game to lead by four points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to leave two points between the sides and then Feenagh/ Kilmeedy scored the next point to leave three points between the sides.
