CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES

Official Launch of Club Plan:
This Tuesday June 18th sees us launch our Club Development Plan commencing at 6pm. We are delighted to welcome GAA President John Horan as our special guest, as well as other GAA officials. Everyone is welcome and there will be refreshments for all. See you there at 6pm.
Junior A Football:
We beat Bruree in the South League semifinal replay last week by 0.03 to 1.18. The South final v Ballylanders was to be played in Bruff last Monday 10th but the result isn’t in at time of going to print. The county Junior A football championship first round is fixed for the week ending of July 28th.
U14s:
Last week we lost away to Patrickswell in hurling by 4.02 to 3.02. On Fridayevening, the players were presented with gearbags followed by photographs and refreshments in advance of their trip to Dr. Morris Park in Thurles where they competed in the Munster Provincial Feile. We played Newport followed by Kileedy/Tournafulla and although beaten in both games, the scorelines didn’t reflect the determination and effort from our lads who are a very young team in comparison to our opponents. Thankfully a trip to Supermacs afterwards, cheered everyone up! Upcoming fixtures: Wednesday 12th home v Knockaderry/Monagea (hurling), Friday 14thhome v Ballinacurra Gaels (football), Monday 17th away v Coshlea Gaels (football)-all games at 7pm.
U12s:
This Thursday the 13th, we are away to Bruff in football at 6.45pm.
U10s:
Last week’s hurling blitz in Ballyagran was cancelled due to heavy rain. Our U10 footballers will take part in Galbally’s Football Festival this Saturday, where 40 teams from all over Limerick and Munster will be competing for glory in what will be a keenly contested competition. We wish them and their coaches James, Mike, and Chris well. Well done to Odhran Mangan and Conor O’Mahony on winning gold in the U10 community games Puc Fada in Banogue last weekend. Odhran will go on to compete in the county community games on June 22nd. Well done lads, your hard work at hurling training is paying off. Preparations are underway for the Colm O’Regan U10 hurling tournament in early September. Stay tuned to club notes and Facebook for further updates.
