Match Reports:
Premier Junior A Hurling Championship Group 2 Round 4
Crecora Manister 2-18 Drom Broadford 2-19
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for our hurlers in Round 4 of the Premier Junior A Hurling Championship – Playing with the elements we went into the Interval 3 points to the good but Drom Broadford came back hard at us in the second half and after 5 mins the sides were level before Drom took the lead. That spurred on the Crecora Manister lads who hit our purple patch and along with some well worked points, raised the green flag twice and were 7 to the good with about 12 mins left on the clock. Credit to Drom who never dropped their heads and two quick goals had the sides level going into injury time. A free in the last minute gave Drom the lead and despite one last attack we couldn’t bridge the gap. We go again in two weeks time against Doon with our destiny in our own hands. Thanks to Rathkeale GAA Club for the use of their facilities and to Referee Kieran Guinea for officiating on the day. Finally, thanks to all who turned out to support us on the evening.

County Junior C Hurling Championship Group 1
Crecora Manister 1-23 Patrickswell 3-07
Crecora Manister junior C’s took on neighbours Patrickswell on Wednesday evening at St. Enda’s. Our men got off to a good start when they scored a few points but Patrickswell got a goal after 10 minutes. Crecora tacked on a few more points before they raised a green flag of their own. The Well then got in for a second goal mid way through the first half. Those goals didn’t rattle Crecora though as they pushed on in the closing minutes with some fine point taking. Half time score was a healthy 1-16 to 2-03 to Crecora-Manister. Scores weren’t as plentiful in the second half but the lads in green and gold kept the pressure on the Well throughout the second half thus giving the management a chance to give all the lads some game time.
U14 Hurling Championship Semi-Finals
Tory Hill Gaels 4-09 Bruff 1-13
Well done to U14 Tory Hill Gaels hurlers on their victory over Bruff in the Semi-Final of their County Championship on Saturday in Mick Neville Park. The boys are now through to the County Final on October 3rd where they face Glenroe.
