Congratulations to Sam Collins on making the Electric Ireland Minor Hurling Team of the Year 2026. Sam was one of 7 Limerick Minors to be named on the team of the year. Congratulations Sam, a great achievement.

Premier Junior A Championship
Crecora/Manister 3-24 St Patricks 0-21
Crecora Manister opened their Woodlands House Hotel Premier Junior A Championship campaign with a hard fought win against City neighbours St Patricks from Rhebogue.
A game for the ages pitted Player of the Match in the recent All-Ireland Final, Cathal O’Neill up against his half forward team mate and probable hurler of the year Gearoid Hegerty and the two lads delivered for the big crowd in attendance. However, it wasn’t just about these two lads, who would both say that, it is a team effort and no one individual can win any game.
While St Patricks opened the scoring after a tense opening 5 mins, that was the last time St Patricks had a lead in the game. Crecora Manister’s players to a man stood up to be counted and their never say die attitude and trust in the process ultimately gave them the victory and a good foundation for the rest of the championship. A very honest game played by both teams who brought physicality and intensity in droves but not one dirty stroke – Ref had a handy night with no cards taken from his pocket. Best of luck to St Patricks for the season ahead.
Next up for Crecora Manister is against Kilteely Dromkeen on Saturday 8th August at 7pm in Hospital. See ye there!
Minor Championship
Tory Hill Gaels 3:25 Croagh/Kilfinny 3:12
Big well done to the Tory Hill Gaels Minors who continued their hurling Championship campaign with a comprehensive win against Croagh-Kilfinny in perfect weather conditions on Wednesday evening in Croom.
The home side got off to a good start and despite some wayward shooting in the first fifteen minutes, went in at the break well ahead on a scoreline of 3.14 to 1.04. The lads maintained their lead in the second half and despite the best efforts of Croagh-Kilfinny, went onto win with a scoreline of 3.25 to 3.12.
